We are glad to know that our client, Xos, successfully traded on Nasdaq through a merger with NextGen Acquisition Corporation.  Xos is dedicated to making fleets more efficient, developing cutting-edge technologies for medium and heavy-duty electric vehicles.

RIGID is so proud to be one part of it.

Our micro cooling solutions exceed anything on the present market. We dedicate to level up our client's products with greater reliability and simplicity. Apart from the high volume supply of a compact self-contained 24V refrigerant chiller system for battery packs, RIGID compact cooling systems are also designed for Eco-mobility, battery cooling, and EV industry in the most environmentally conscious manner possible.

But unlike Tesla, which enjoyed a head start of years over traditional carmakers, commercial EV startups are racing against time as major manufacturers like Ford Motor Company race to bring products to market or others like Volkswagen AG Group beef up their electric offerings.

Some startups already have their golden ticket. ARRIVAL, which went public via a merger with a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC), has an order for up to 10,000 vans from UPS while Rivian has an order to build 100,000 vans for Amazon.

Others, like Xos Trucks, are close. Xos, which is going public via public through a merger with blank-check firm NextGen Acquisition Corp, is testing electric delivery trucks with both UPS and Amazon.

Thore Meurer, European senior fleet director at Deutsche Post AG unit DHL Express, said, "The window of opportunity is closing. If another startup comes to market with a van two years from now, there will be no opportunity left for them," Meurer said. "By then, every big player will have an electric van on the market."

Unsexy? Forbes speak for yourself… E-mobility is as good as it gets! Love how Xos Trucks is hitting the most interesting segment. Well done!

Exciting US policy news for Zero Emission Trucks (ZETs)! The just-released Biden-Harris FY22 Budget Request calls for a new zero-emission medium- and heavy-duty vehicle tax credit that can be claimed as a cash payment in-lieu of credit. This is exactly what EV industry has strongly recommended is needed, allowing fleets of all sizes to buy zero emission trucks NOW, creating good jobs and cutting urban pollution sooner in our most impacted communities. Here sharing data on the strong benefits to the US this policy would bring.
